This type of gaming is made possible through advanced web streaming technology that enables players to see and hear everything that takes place at the blackjack table. Blackjack Rules

Achieving a higher hand than the dealer without exceeding a total of 21 is the primary objective of playing blackjack. Canada gambling venues embrace traditional blackjack rules, hence there are not any special rules or regulations that must be learned or incorporated into the games. Each bj game variation can have slight differences in their rules, which will be available to players from the game's interface. With the exception of live dealer games, the casinos we recommend all offer free blackjack game options as well so that you can try out new gaming environments, easily learn new games, test newly learned techniques, or just enjoy playing without having to dish out any money. History of Blackjack

The history of blackjack is a largely contested subject that many researchers still to this day disagree on. Unlike other games, there is no one creator of blackjack and instead it has progressed from other games.

The modern game that we know now as blackjack is thought to have originated and developed from games played in France and Spain during the 18 th century. It was originally named “Vingt-un” or “Vingt-et-un (meaning 21) in France, but in Spain it was known as “Trente-un” (meaning 31), which can be traced back as far 1440.

Blackjack, then known as ‘21’, was taken over to America by French Colonists in the 18 th century where the rules were not standardized and often changed depending on the individual dealers. The game flourished and increased in popularity in America through the development of gambling establishments.

At the time of the state legislation of gambling in Nevada in 1931, the game was still just as popular and had continued to be referred to as ‘21’. Some casinos targeted this game as a way to entice more players and would sometimes offer an exclusive payout of 10:1 when a player successfully got to 21 points by using the ace of spades card and one of the black jacks. This is where the name Blackjack was established and grew from.

As states in America were starting to legalize gambling, legislation was introduced, and games needed to have a standardized set of rules. Up until this point, blackjack did not have a clear set of rules and was played differently depending on the players’ location or the individual dealer. However, the Nevada Gaming Commission created the official rules for blackjack, and those are the rules that the modern version of the game follows today. Blackjack has since been one of the most popular games to be played in casinos in Las Vegas, and the rest of the world.

The game of blackjack developed further when technological advancements enabled the establishment of online casinos, which provided the classic version of blackjack virtually. The game of blackjack developed further through the growth of the internet and there are now different versions that are played interactively.

Blackjack Odds

One of the key things to understand when playing blackjack is the odds and probabilities that exist in the game. Regardless of the cards you have been dealt and what your predicament is at the table (whether literal or virtual) you need to be aware of the chances you have of winning, compared to the probability that you will go bust.

How do I win at Blackjack?

Through studying and practicing the game, you will be able to work out the probability of going bust when you decide to add an extra card to your already dealt hand value. For example, if your hand value is 12, then you have a 31% probability of an extra card value sending you bust and out the game.

However, if you have a higher hand value at 19, then your probability jumps up to an 85% chance. Once you get your head around these odds, then it will be easier to assess whether you should take the risk of adding an extra card. Putting it simply, the higher your hand value, the higher the risk an extra card will make you go bust. It is worth keeping this equation in your head while you are playing.

However, the real trick to blackjack is to not just focus on your odds in the game, but also on the dealer. Now you need to remember that the dealer’s probability depends on what the game’s rules state. So, make sure you know the rules before you enter play.

You may think that you have been dealt a weak hand, but also look at the odds of the dealer’s hand being weak as well and you will have a better idea of how to predict their hand successfully.

Example: you could have the hand value of 12 and assume that the right thing to do would be to hit. You would consider this to be true because not only is 12 a low hand value, but you know that more than two thirds of the rest of the pack that you could be dealt from would help improve your value.

But don’t forget that the dealer may have a weak hand too! Do not make the common mistake of only focusing on your own odds and probabilities.

Online Blackjack Rules for Canadians

Blackjack is one of the most popular games played in casinos and this is because, while being relatively simple, it offers a thrill and the player can use mathematical ability (through the assessing of odds) in order to develop a high-level strategy. Before you can develop a high strategy, you need to first know the basic game rules.

How do I start?

The standard 52 card pack is used for blackjack and most casinos play the popular version where six packs are shuffled together (to make for 312 cards in total). However, not all these cards will be played as after the cards have been shuffled and bets placed, the dealer will pick a player at random to cut the pack of cards so that the last 60/70 cards will not be in play.

How does the game work?

The object of the game is to beat the dealer by getting as close to the count of 21, without going over (known as going bust). The betting aspect comes to the game as, before the cards are dealt, each player places a bet by placing a chip in the designated area. The value of the chip(s) you place down is up to you, but there are generally minimum and maximum bet limits that start from around $2 to $500, but this depends on the betting establishments rules.

When the first cards are dealt, the dealer will give each player one card facing upwards, and then give himself one card facing up. The second round of cards are delivered to players face up, while the dealer’s second card is placed face down.

Playing from the left, each player must decide whether they want to stand or hit. This means that a player can either stick with the original two cards that they have been dealt, or they can decide to have additional cards from the dealer. The player will then either stand if they have a hand value of 21 or under or go bust if they exceed the 21 goal. If the player loses by going over the value of 21, then the dealer collects the bet they wagered.

The dealer serves all the players in the same way and once this has been done, they will turn the down facing card up so the table can see his total. If the total of his two cards is more than 17, then the dealer must stand. However, if the total is under 17, then the dealer will continue to take cards until a value of 17 is reached.

Online Blackjack Strategies and Tips in Canada

Look at The Dealer's Card

There are different strategies that are followed, but one of the main ones that nearly all players begin with is based on the dealer’s up facing card. If you can see that the dealer’s card is a high value (for example between 7 and 10) then the player should take additional cards until their value is at least 17. The main strategy behind this, and the whole game, is to not take an extra card if there is any risk that it could make you go bust.

Splitting Pairs

A popular strategy is the use of blackjack pair splitting. If a player is dealt two cards of the same value, then they can decide to either continue playing with those card values, or they can split them into two playable hands. Now, a player getting two cards of the same value can be beneficial as well as damaging.

For example, if two 10s are dealt to a player, then they have a strong hand they will want to stand with. However, being dealt two ‘2s’ can be less beneficial and the player may indicate to the dealer that they want to split the pair into two hands but place another equal bet by the original bet they placed.

But make sure that you place the second bet NEXT to the original bet and not on top of it! The player should also remember that they must play out the original hand they were dealt before they can play their split (second) hand.

Side Bets

Some games will see the inclusion of side bets. These are additional wagers that can be placed only at the beginning of the game when you play your main bets. Side bets can be placed on both your own hand, and the hand the other players will be dealt. The most popular side bets are perfect pairs and insurance.

However, it is advisable to avoid getting involved in side bets as they generally have a higher house edge compared to the game itself, so it really is recommended that you avoid them.

Playing blackjack online is becoming increasingly popular in Canada. Our guide to online blackjack will teach you where to play blackjack online, how to play, and tips & strategies for winning big.

Frequently Asked Questions

Blackjack Basics

Blackjack is a Card Game

The game is played on a standard 52 card deck. The suit of the cards you are given does not matter in blackjack.

Every Card Has a Numeric Value

Aces can be worth either 11 or 1 (depending on which is best for your hand), face cards (King, Queen, and Jack) are worth 10, and all other cards are worth their number.

21 is the Goal

Put simply, the goal in blackjack is to attain a card hand that totals closer to 21 than the dealer, without going over 21. If you go over 21, you “bust” and lose.

How To Play Blackjack Online

While online blackjack can intimidating, the game is actually much simpler than it seems. Here’s how it works.

As mentioned above, you are given two face-up cards to start. The dealer gives themselves one card face-up and one card face-down. Then, you have the choice to hit or stand. If you hit, you receive one more card. You can keep hitting until you choose to stand, reach 21, or go over 21 (a bust). If you stand, you stop receiving cards, and it’s the dealer’s turn to turn over their face-down card and reveal their total.

The dealer has to keep hitting until their cards total 17. Whoever’s hand total is closest to 21 without going over, wins. If either of you go over 21, you bust and lose immediately. Getting 21, or a blackjack, isn’t an automatic win: there’s the chance you and the dealer will both reach 21, in which case you would tie.

An Example Hand of Blackjack

  • The player makes a bet.

  • The player receives cards from the dealer – a Queen and a 4. The dealer also has two cards, but only one – an 8 – is visible to the player.

  • The player adds up their cards and realizes that their total is only 14. They decide to hit and take another card – a 6.

  • Satisfied with their total of 20, the player stands.

  • The dealer reveals their other card – an Ace – bringing the total of their hand to 19.

  • Since the player’s total is closer to, but not exceeding 21, they win the round.

How To Win at Blackjack

Manage Your Bankroll

This bears repeating for all types of online gambling – have a bankroll strategy and stick to it. In blackjack, we recommend ensuring that each individual bet represents – at most, 5% of your total bankroll. For example, if you have $100 to play with, we recommend playing $5 hands at most.

Never Chase Losses

Blackjack in particular is a game of math. If you play wisely and follow sound strategy, you will gain the edge over the long term. Do not play recklessly and emotionally, and never abandon your blackjack strategy to win back anything you’ve lost.

Capitalize on Good Hands

Use splitting and doubling down to maximize your wager amount on good hands. In online blackjack, being aggressive is required at times. If one more ten would give you a winning hand, take a calculated risk and double down.

When to Hit, Stand, Double Down, or Split

After the bets are placed and each player has received their two initial cards, you’ll have to choose whether you want to hit, stand, double down, or split. You’ll want to make this decision based on what’s in your hand, and what’s showing in the dealer’s hand.

When to Hit in Blackjack

A “hit” is simply asking for another card from the dealer

Depending on what the dealer is showing and the casino’s rules, a general strategy would be to ‘hit’ when your cards total 14 or less.

For example: if your cards total 12, it would be a good idea to hit. There’s a good chance of you getting a card under 10, so you probably won’t bust.

When to Stand in Blackjack

“Standing” is choosing to receive no more cards from the dealer

A player would “stand” when they’re confident they have a high enough hand to beat the dealer, typically on hands that total 15 or more (depending on what the dealer is showing).

For example: If your cards total 17, you could definitely still choose to hit, but now there’s a greater chance of you getting a card that would put you over 21. Depending on what the dealer is showing in this scenario, it may be wiser to stand.

When to Double Down in Blackjack

“Doubling down” is choosing to double your original bet and committing to receiving only one more card from the dealer

As an example, a player should generally “double down” if their hand totals 10 or 11, as the odds of the next card being a ten or face card is in the player’s favor in the long run. Again, this will depend on what the dealer is showing as well as the casino’s dealer rules.

Remember – doubling down doubles a player’s bet, and they only get one more card. If the player gets a good card and wins, they win double, but if they get a bad card and lose, they’ll lose double.

When to Split in Blackjack

A “split” is only an option when a player is dealt a pair

“Splitting” a pair turns the original pair into two separate hands, doubling the amount of hands the player has on the table and doubling the bet in the process.

For example, if a player was dealt two 8s, they could split these. They would then have two hands worth 8 each, and receive an additional card for each hand. They’d then play these hands the same way they’d play one – choosing to hit, stand, double down, or even to split again.

Choosing when to split is a bit complicated, and depends on which pair you receive, and what the dealer’s showing. When you’re choosing to split, remember these three things:

  • Don’t split a winning hand. If you’re dealt two 10s, it’s tempting to double down, but don’t. If you’re dealt two 10s, you know you have twenty, which is likely a winning total. Hold tight.

  • Only split good cards. Remember, you’re turning these cards into new hands, so only split cards that you actually For example, if you’re dealt a pair of fours (a low, mathematically unfriendly card) there’s no point in splitting – you’ll just end up with extra hands full of fours.

  • Each time you split, your wager doubles. Just try to remember what you’re getting into – splitting doubles your potential winnings, but also your potential losses.

Online Blackjack Payouts

When playing blackjack, it’s important to find the top casinos which offer the best payout percentages. This will help make your bankroll last longer and give you the best chance of winning.

The standard blackjack casino payout is 3 to 2. While in recent years a number of casinos have switched to a 6 to 5 payout, we recommend never playing for less than 3 to 2. This means that for every $2 bet, the player would receive $3 back on a winning hand – 1.5x the initial wager.

Traditionally, blackjack is the casino game with the highest overall payout percentage and the lowest house edge. While this varies across casinos, blackjack variations and individual games, by using a good strategy and choosing a game with favourable rules, you can find online blackjack games with a tiny (

Different Types of Online Blackjack

When you decide to play blackjack online, you have a host of options when it comes to the different variations of the game. Here are a few of the most popular options for Canadian players, but rest assured, there are plenty of other games that follow the objective of blackjack.

Spanish 21

This variation of real money online blackjack allows players late surrenders, doubling after a split, re-splitting aces, players 21 always wins, players blackjack beats dealer blackjack, a player may double down on any number of cards. There are also different payouts when a player hits 21. Whether it’s 5,6,7 card 21’s or three-suited 7’s.

Live Dealer Blackjack

In this popular Blackjack variation, players can enjoy a traditional casino experience while playing online as there is a live dealer in real-time dealing the cards. Live blackjack is a great option for players that want the live casino experience with the convenience of playing from their laptop or mobile device.

European Blackjack

European blackjack is a popular variation with minor differences from traditional real money blackjack. One central difference is it only played with two decks of cards, where others use six to eight decks. There’s no hole card in the European variation of the game and the dealer doesn’t receive a second card until the player has completed their hand. Doubling down is also limited. In European blackjack, players can only double down if they have a hand of 9 through 11.

Single Deck Blackjack

This version of blackjack is only played with one deck. For years, single deck was the standard, but casinos began to mix in multiple decks to make card counting more difficult.

Free Blackjack vs. Blackjack for Real Money

Most casinos offer a demo mode where you can play a selection of their games for free. This allows you to learn the rules, test your strategy and see how you like the casino before making a deposit. We recommend playing in demo mode until you understand how the game works. Of course, the inescapable downside of playing for free is that you can’t win money, and that bonuses and promotions for free players are incredibly rare. That’s why, once comfortable, many players choose to play for real money. Blackjack is a great game whichever way you play, but check out the pros and cons of playing for real money to make sure you make the right decision.

Pros of Real Money Blackjack

  • Chance to win real money which can be cashed out

  • Increased level of excitement and entertainment

  • Ability to collect free casino bonuses

  • Huge variety of blackjack variations and game designs available

  • Live dealer tables are almost always exclusively for real money players

Cons of Real Money Blackjack

  • As with all real money games, there is a risk that you may lose money

  • You’ll have to register at a casino before you start playing

Blackjack Glossary Terms

Blackjack

This is the name of the game, and what it is called when your hand reaches a total of 21. When you get a blackjack, you win, unless the dealer also gets a blackjack (in which case, it’s a “Push” or a tie).

When your card total exceeds 21, you “Bust”, which means you lose that hand and your bet. A bust can only happen if you choose to “Hit” after you have received your initial two cards. If the player and the dealer both bust, the player loses.

Double Down

After your first two cards are dealt, if you think you just need one more card to win, you can double your bet. Sometimes this is offered on split hands.

Even Money

This is Blackjack-specific insurance. If you have a blackjack and the dealer is showing an ace, you can ask for even money, which is a 1:1 payout.

First Base

The player to the dealer’s immediate left if at first base. They get their cards first and will be the first to act, unless they are playing in a tournament.

Five Card Charlie

When a player has five cards in front of them and still hasn’t busted.

Add a card to your hand. After you have been dealt your first two cards, you can choose to “hit” and get another face-up card. You can do this until you choose to stand or until you hit 21 or go over (a “bust”).

Hole Card

The card that is left face-down (the dealer’s second card). Whenever you decide to stand, the hole card will be revealed.

House Edge

The mathematical advantage that the casino has over you. This is to ensure that the casino makes a profit over time. The house edge varies per game and per casino.

Insurance

When the dealer has an ace, you can purchase insurance. Players can win back some of their bet if the dealer wins by getting a blackjack. This is usually offered in American Blackjack.

A hand with two cards of the same value (ie. two 10s). Pairs can be split if you wish.

When you and the dealer have the same hand value, your bet is returned and you don’t win or lose anything.

Side Bet/Proposition Bet

A.K.A. a prop bet. When you make a wager based on something else happening in the game that isn’t necessarily a part of Blackjack.

Soft Hand

When your hand contains an ace that can be used as a one or an 11.

Split

If you’re dealt two cards of the same value, you can choose to split your cards and play with two hands. You place your bet on each hand.

Stand

Don’t take any more cards. Only do this if you think you have a better hand than the dealer.

Surrender

If you feel like the game isn’t going very well and you don’t have a good chance of winning, you can choose to surrender. If you do, you get half of your bet back.

Upcard

The dealer’s first card that is dealt face-up.

Blackjack Online FAQs

Blackjack is both the name of the game, and the name of a winning hand. If any player – you or the dealer – receives an Ace and a ten-value card (i.e. a ten or a face card) as your initial two cards, this is called a blackjack. In this instance, the player dealt the blackjack automatically wins this hand.

If your cards add up to more than 21, this is called a ‘bust’, and means you lose that hand and your bet.

If, once you and the dealer are done taking cards, you have a higher hand than the dealer and you didn’t go over 21, you win! Typically, you earn back your original wager, plus that same amount again. For example, if you wager $10 and win, you’ll be paid $20.

If, once you and the dealer are done taking cards, you end up with the same total, this is called a “push”. This is essentially a tie, and your original wager will be returned to you.

The best way to begin playing blackjack is to find free online blackjack games and practice using the online platform. There is a detailed blackjack overview on this page and a great strategy sheet that will help even the most novice player learn the basic strategies.

The best way to win at blackjack online is to follow a betting chart. The odds are always going to favor the online casino, but by playing with a sound strategy, you can lower that limit less than one percent.

No, plenty of casinos make their games available to play free online blackjack. This is a great way for new players to get introduced to gambling and the online platform. For experienced online blackjack players, this allows players to experiment with betting strategies and playing techniques without risking any real money.

This depends on the online casino a user chooses to play with. Most online casinos don’t require any software to be downloaded to play on their site. Some will require players to download their mobile casino to play if the player wants to use a tablet or mobile smartphone.

No, you cannot count cards playing blackjack online because online casinos use a random number generator to deal cards. This system means every hand is being played with a new deck. A user could count cards, but there would be no value in doing so.

Not at any of the online casinos we recommend at Gamble Online. Blackjack (as with all casino games) has a mathematical percentage that favors the house, although the payout percentage varies by the skill level of the blackjack participant. Blackjack games at online casinos use random number generators (RNGs) to ensure games are fair.

Runner ups for top canadian casino site:

Hey, I'm Will from LeanBackPlayer. Like you, I enjoy online gambling. And like you, I want to play at the best Canadian online casinos. Probably like you, I've also had my fair share of ups and downs when it comes to gambling. But possibly not like you, I've literally tried and tested almost every online casino site imaginable.

With years of experience under my belt playing slots, online poker, Blackjack, and other table games, I've figured out what works and what doesn't work when it comes to a great online casino experience. I've won enough money to allow me and my family to live comfortably - and I now want to help you make a start on your online gambling career.

I believe, after all, that you can only succeed with online gambling once you've signed up to the right site. So, enough of my yakking, let's get into this …

How We Found the Best Canadian Casinos: Our Ranking Methodology

More than anything else, we need to sign up to fair online casinos.

Ask anyone who's gambled at an online casino whether the casino they use is rigged or not and you'll probably find that those who win lots will say that it isn't rigged, while those who lose frequently will say that it is rigged.

So what's the real answer?

It's not for me to say which sites are definitely rigged. But I've closely examined the RTP on the table games and slots at various Canadian casinos, as well as spoken to other seasoned gamblers, to help me choose sites that are provably fair for you.

Moreover, any online gambling site in Canada must pass a rigorous examination by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission who tests them for fairness and reliable payouts.

The best online casinos offer a wide range of games for you to choose from. These include your classic casino and table games, such as Baccarat and Blackjack, as well as a huge variety of each game.

For instance, some sites let you play 21 different varieties of Blackjack. This is important because everyone is skilled at different games. So you need to find out what games you're good at and then sign up to the sites that let you play them.

When it comes to bonuses, there's more to consider than just the size of the bonus. For example, you need to take into consideration the wagering requirements. You could grab an eye-catching bonus and win, only to find out you can't withdraw it until you've gambled huge sums of your own money.

As such, I've made sure to choose sites that won't rip you off on the bonus front.

It's also worth mentioning that sites that are aimed at recreational players, such as Royal Panda , offer more rewards. Moreover, as well as the welcome bonus, you should also keep an eye out for extra perks, including reload bonuses and free spins.

The Best Online Casino Sites in Canada Reviewed

PlayOJO Casino deserves its place as my top pick, thanks largely to the fact that there are no wagering conditions attached to the welcome bonus. It's a quite big deal, as it's hard to find a fairer offer. Moreover, if you combine it with a huge variety of casino games where you'll never be bored, it's impossible to find a better online casino.

If you enjoy a fair real money casino experience, and you're looking for an operator with lots of gambling opportunities, then PlayOJO is definitely worth a look.

  • No need to download and install an app

  • Live casino games available

Online Casino Gambling in Canada

The online gambling situation in Canada is both a simple one and a complex one. It's simple in the sense that online gambling is legal but complex in the sense that betting sites aren't allowed to set up shop in Canada itself.

Essentially, it means that only offshore gaming sites, such as those who've obtained their license from the Malta Gaming Authority, are allowed to operate in Canada .

That all said, you as a participant have less to worry about because online gambling is fully legal in Canada .

Gambling has, of course, been a popular pastime in Canada since the late 1800s when it rose to prominence in central America. Today, online gambling is regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

Most Popular Casino Games in Canada

If you're still fairly new to online casinos, let's now take a look at the most popular casino games you can expect to find at an online casino in Canada .

Slot machines are gambling games that come with spinning reels. There are now literally thousands of slots available at different sites, and each one has its own rules and themes. For instance, there are TV and movie-themed slot games, adventure-themed slot games, as well as progressive slots (which come with bigger jackpots).

Online roulette is one of the most popular casino games of all time. There are three main types of roulette - American, European and French - so you'll want to find the game you're most comfortable with before choosing a betting strategy.

Just like there are lots of variants of roulette, there are also lots of variants of Blackjack, a popular card game that can be played at online casinos in Canada .

Blackjack is a game of skill, luck and judgement, and it can be found at all the best online casinos. However, it is in my opinion, the best site for Blackjack players due to its excellent visuals.

Baccarat is an online casino card game that's super popular thanks to the fact that there is a very thin house edge. In other words, players have lots of chances to win big money, especially at high traffic sites, such as PlayOJO.

Poker is arguably the most popular online casino game for real money. You can play cash games, tournament games, and even "free" games while you build up your skill level. There are also video poker games available at specific sites, including Ignition, as well as multiple variants.

Sic Bo is an ancient Chinese dice game that you can now play online at some gambling sites. It's a game of chance/luck, and "sic bo" essentially means "dice pair." Because the game is so fast-paced, it's especially ideal for those who enjoy playing slots and want to see quick turnarounds.

Pai Gow is another Chinese online casino game. It's based on Chinese Dominoes and works a little bit like poker. The major difference is that you need to make two hands (and not one). A skill game, it's suited to those who prefer to take their time when gambling for real money, although you can also find many free-play versions of it online.

Keno works like bingo, or even the lottery. You're given numbers ranging from 1 to 80, and payouts are dependent on the amount of numbers you choose, and the amount of those numbers that are hit. Like bingo and the lottery, it's purely a game of luck.

Craps is a popular online casino table game that you will find at most online casinos. Essentially, you get to throw two dice. If you throw a 7 or an 11, you win, but if you throw a 2, 3, or 12, you lose. It's fun, but essentially it comes down to luck.

Bingo remains one of the most popular gambling games in the world. While it's possible to hit a huge jackpot and win big, many players are happy to play it for a bit of fun to pass the time. You'll find it at most online casinos, including PlayOJO.

How To Choose an Online Casino

Whilst I've outlined a list of the top online casinos in Canada of 2021 above, I still need to stress that there are things you personally need to take into consideration before making your final decision. Moreover, you might decide to choose a site that I haven't listed.

In this section, I'm going to show you how to choose an online casino by taking specific factors into consideration. These will help you avoid sketchy online casinos that - among other things - refuse to payout winnings.

More important than anything else is an online casino gambling license. A gambling license confirms the site is not only legit, but that it's also legal to operate in Canada . If a site doesn't have a license, or if it has one that appears to be very dodgy after you've done some research, avoid the site altogether.

Canada has a solid gaming industry which is tightly regulated, and gambling is regulated by the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.

Welcome Bonus and Promotions

All online casinos offer a first deposit bonus. This welcome bonus is usually a match deposit bonus that matches your first deposit with extra "play" money.

As well as the welcome bonus, you should also look out for extra promotions, such as reload bonuses, free spins and VIP schemes. The more promotions there are, the more you can play without risking your own money.

Make sure to check the wagering requirements too, as these will affect how and when you can withdraw any winnings.

Game Variety and Other Features

The top sites offer a huge library of casino games, as well extra features including state of the art graphics and animations.

Game variety is an important consideration because it helps to keep the excitement going, and it means you can take some time finding the games you're comfortable with. Plus, different games come with different payouts.

So lookout for a mix of casino games, table games, card games, live dealer games, and more.

Deposit Methods and Withdrawal Options

It's really important that you find out whether or not a site has your preferred banking options before you sign up. While most sites these days offer multiple deposit methods and withdrawal options, including credit cards, eWallets, and check, they all offer different ones.

Moreover, some sites let you deposit via a certain method but don't let you withdraw via the same method. So it's essential that you check this out first, as well as withdrawal fees and times, the availability of instant banking and cryptocurrencies.

Casino Reviews and Complaints

Lastly, before you sign up to a gambling site in Canada , make sure to read some casino reviews first. Find out what others are saying about the site and take a look at the complaints. Are there more positive reviews than negative ones? Are the complaints minimal or does it look like people are genuinely frustrated with this site?

Reviews give you a huge insight into how reputable and trustworthy a site is, including how reliable it is in terms of payouts and what the customer service is like.

You can use sites like TrustPilot to find and read user reviews.

Play Blackjack Online

The origins of online gambling can be traced back to the 1990s when the first online casino appeared. Back then, the diversity and the quality of the available games were far from impressive which was the reason why not many players opted for this type of entertainment. However, ever since, times have changed greatly as the technological world has achieved an incredible progress which made it possible for the online casinos to further improve their gambling services.

Thanks to some of the leading software providers such as Microgaming and Playtech, you have the chance to enjoy a broad selection of world-class games. It has never been so easy and convenient to play classic blackjack as well as other popular variations at any time and place. Your favorite game is just one click away as all you need to do is to simply find the most comfortable spot for you and load the online casino of your choice. Furthermore, most online casinos offer an Instant Play mode, meaning that you can play blackjack without downloading any software.

Online Blackjack Features

One of the reasons why playing online blackjack is so convenient and great is that most online casinos offer special features which further ease the gaming process. For instance, most gambling websites give you the chance to adjust the sound, the animations, the graphics and other settings related to the interface of the game. It is also possible to change the design of the table or the cards according to your personal preferences. It should be noted that the available features a particular game offers entirely depend on the software provider that has developed it.

Whenever you play blackjack online, you can choose from various tables which have different betting limits. This way, you can join a game that suits your bankroll. Some virtual blackjack games also give you the chance to invite your friends and play together. After all, everything is better when shared with friends. Another great thing about online games is that they offer a History Feature, meaning that it is possible to view your previous wagers and keep track of the past outcomes of your hands. This enables you to manage your bankroll better and draw valuable conclusions whether the strategy you use works or not.

Live Dealer Blackjack games offer Bet Behind Feature and Live Chat Feature. The latter gives you the chance to interact with the dealer and with the rest of the players on the table and this way, get an extremely realistic feeling of the game, almost as if you were at an actual brick and mortar casino. The Bet Behind Feature enables you to place bets on a player who is currently playing in the respective game.

Blackjack is an exciting card game which has a number of interesting variants. Some of them are just as popular as the classic game, if not even more, which is the reason why you can find them in various online gambling websites. The diversity of online blackjack variants which you can enjoy in the comfort of your home is truly impressive as most of the popular land-based blackjack games have been adapted to online casinos. Some of them include Atlantic City Blackjack, Pontoon, Spanish 21, Vegas Strip, European Blackjack, Double Exposure Blackjack and others.

What is more, some gambling websites even offer exclusive variations which cannot be found in brick and mortar casinos. Undoubtedly, the virtual nature of the games offers many new opportunities for both the players and the online casinos. This is the reason why the online blackjack games are on the rise as they provide players with an ultimate gambling experience.

Pros & Cons of Playing Online Blackjack

Perhaps, one of the biggest advantages of playing online blackjack is the fact that you have the freedom to do so without having to dress up and go all the way to a prestigious brick and mortar casino. This way, you will save yourself not only time but also travel expenses. Such a high level of convenience cannot be matched by any land-based casino as no gambling venue will provide you with the chance to make your place of residence your casino.

Another great benefit is that most online casinos offer various special bonuses which you can use to play blackjack. Thanks to them, you can increase your bankroll and have more funds to wager on your favorite casino games. Furthermore, usually online blackjack has the same rules as its land-based counterpart. However, it is always best to double check them in advance, just to be on the safe side.

When you play blackjack online, you have the freedom to choose the most convenient place for you. This means that you can successfully create the perfect environment for playing that you have always dreamed of at your own home and completely immerse in blackjack. There is no need to put up with annoying people anymore who can make the whole gambling experience unpleasant.

Now, let’s have a look at the other side of the coin and consider the things which are viewed as drawbacks by some players. One of them is the fact that almost all bonuses feature wagering requirements and other terms and conditions which you must meet in order to take advantage of them. Unfortunately, sometimes the requirements are so many that they render the bonus worthless. For this purpose, always make sure to check the playthrough requirements in advance in order to determine whether the bonus is beneficial and whether you can meet them.

Another thing which can be considered as a disadvantage is that sometimes it can take several days until you receive your winnings. However, the processing time doesn’t depend only on the casino of your choice as the payment method you have selected also plays a crucial role. It should be noted that presently, there are some payment solutions which process withdrawals within 24 hours.

Live Dealer Blackjack

Thanks to some of the most prominent software suppliers, you are given the chance to enjoy blackjack at the comfort of your home and at the same time, get an extremely realistic feeling of it as if you were at an actual land-based gambling venue. What makes Live Blackjack so exciting is the fact that these types of games are hosted by well-presented dealers who conduct the gaming process in real time.

You are able to see all of the actions of the dealer, including the dealing of the cards, at the time of playing thanks to the live streaming technology that these types of games use. All you need to do is to simply click on the respective video link of the game of your choice and wait for it to load. Once the connection is stable and the loading is done, you will be able to see a dealer standing in front of a blackjack table, waiting for instructions to start the game.

In most cases, these games are streamed directly from a studio which is specially designed for live dealer games. This is the reason why you will often be able to see other dealers operating a game in the background. Besides the classic blackjack game, many online casinos also offer other popular variations which you can play in real time. This way, you can diversify your online gambling experience and enjoy your favorite casino game in a whole new way.

Software Providers that Offer Online Blackjack Games

Blackjack is the favorite game of a number of players all over the world and as such, it is no wonder why many software providers have put a lot of time and effort in developing it. Microgaming is among the software suppliers which offer both online blackjack and Live Dealer Blackjack games. Its Live Blackjack is extremely exciting and entertaining for various purposes. One of them is the fact that some of the games are Playboy-themed which further contributes to the pleasant gambling experience you are able to get from playing virtual blackjack.

Another prominent software company which has developed various blackjack variations such as Lucky Blackjack, Blackjack Surrender and Pontoon, is Playtech. Thanks to this software supplier, you can also enjoy this exciting card game in real time as it offers Live Blackjack. All of the games are broadcast in HD quality which enables you to get a very authentic feeling from playing online. High rollers will be happy to find out that Playtech offers a special VIP area in which players can place larger bets. For this purpose, the company has developed Unlimited Blackjack which features high betting limits.

When it comes to online blackjack, NetEnt is a software supplier which deserves mentioning. One of its games which many blackjack enthusiasts love playing is Blackjack Professional Series. This is a three-hand game which features interesting animations and realistic 3D graphics. It also gives you the chance to place a special side bet called Double Jack. As for the live dealer games, NetEnt offers Live Blackjack and Live Common Draw Blackjack, both of which have various tables with different betting limits.

Mobile Blackjack

One of the major reasons why online casinos gained popularity so much and continue to do so is because they also offer mobile games. This means that you can play the same high quality and wide range of blackjack games not only on your computer but also on your smartphone or tablet. Most online casinos offer a mobile-friendly platform which you can access instantly via your most trusted browser.

Moreover, some online casinos also offer native apps which can be downloaded free of charge, directly from their website. Most of the leading online casinos feature a mobile casino which is compatible with Android and iOS mobile devices. Thanks to the mobile casinos, it is possible to play on the move and make better use of your time, regardless of your location. It should be noted that most mobile casinos offer the same wide range of payment methods which enable you to make deposits securely and conveniently.
